Make a Big Noise for play! 2:00pm Wednesday 5 August 2020 Playday is the annual day for play in the UK. Due to the current situation, big Playday events in parks and communities across Wales and the rest of the UK aren’t being held this year. So, how about celebrating Playday 2020 and children’s right to play from your doorstep instead?! Join the celebration by clapping, cheering, banging pots and pans and Making a Big Noise for Playday at 2:00pm on Wednesday 5 August. We are calling on children, parents and community members across Wales to join the rest of the UK to celebrate children’s right to play. ResourcesTo help you and your family get involved in this year’s Playday, these resources can be downloaded and printed for easy sharing: Make a Big Noise for Playday postcard – share with your neighbours to help spread the word so everyone can get involved Playday poster – ask your children to colour it in and display in your window, to show support for every child’s right to play Right to play poster – your children may want to colour in and display this too as a reminder to all that every child has the right to play. This right is recognised in Article 31 of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child Playday letter to children – share this letter with your children to give them information about Playday and their right to play.
